She has played at venues and festivals across the United States and UK, including the House of Blues, The Hotel Cafe, The Bitter End, and Uncancelled Music Festival.
At the center of Dezelle's music is honest story-telling, and she has received critical acclaim for her lyrics, which were also recognized through her inclusion in the "Lyrics as Poetry" project, a journal featuring lyrics of singer-songwriters that can be found in bookstores and museums across the world. Dezelle's lyrics are featured in the book alongside singer-songwriters such as Gregory Alan Isakov, Alexi Murdoch, and Rachel Yamagata.
Dezelle combines her lyrical stories with emotive, soothing vocals, building instrumental flourishes, and cross-genre musical experimentation. Her music has been placed in numerous films, TV shows, and trailers, and most recently, she has been tasked with writing for specific film scripts and television. Her recent songs, “I’d Go Anywhere,” “Susie’s Song,” and “Bloom, Unfold, Wither” can all be heard in motion pictures and TV shows. She has written for Hallmark, Bravo, Mar Vista Entertainment, Parkside Pictures, Nestle, Dailey advertising agency, Lifetime, UpTV, as well other brands and studios.
Dezelle has released 5 EPs to date and plans to release new singles and a new album entitled "visions" in 2021. Her upcoming projects will include collaborations with artists across genres including the film and TV composer Tomas Altamirano, singer-songwriter Gavyn Bailey, hip hop artists Dre Drinkard and Abeo, and electronic artists Oscar Del Amor and Feverkin, all of whom are co-writers on various songs. The project will feature artists such as Andrew Leib (guitar), Jake Moses (cowriter, guitar), Jesse MacLeod (guitar and production), Ryan Chollet (guitar), Lucy Clearwater (vocals), and Gavyn Bailey (cowriter, vocals). The songs will pull from a wide range of musical influences across genres and explore themes of recovery, empowerment, spirituality, sobriety, grief, renewal, relationships, and self-love.
